We are excited that you are interested in becoming part of The Kinship Center community!
To help ensure that each participant is placed in the programs and activities that best support their interests, goals, and needs, we ask all new families to complete our pre-registration process.
Begin by filling out our online Pre-Registration Form. This helps our team learn more about the participant and their support needs.
After we receive your form, a member of The Kinship Center team will contact you by phone. This conversation gives us an opportunity to get to know you, answer questions, and schedule a shadow day.
The participant will attend a scheduled shadow day at The Kinship Center. This allows everyone to become familiar with our programs, environment, and community while helping our team determine the best fit for participation.
Following the shadow day, The Kinship Center team will meet to discuss the participant's strengths, interests, support needs, and the programs that may be the best fit.
Our team will prepare an Orientation Report that will be provided to the family. This report can then be shared with the participant's Alta California Regional Center caseworker.
Once the family signs the IPP and Alta California Regional Center completes the authorization process, Alta will provide The Kinship Center with a start date.
We look forward to welcoming you into our community and helping participants build friendships, confidence, belonging, and meaningful connections.
